Thomas Tuchel told he may have discovered his own Diego Costa at Chelsea after 'special' moment

Chelsea forward Armando Broja produced another fine cameo performance as he netted the winner for Albania in their 1-0 success against Hungary.

Despite only coming on in the 78th minute, the 19-year-old displayed a moment of magic, dribbling past his man before slotting the ball home from just inside the box.

This is Broja’s first international goal since making his debut in September 2020, despite starting just three matches for his country.

In an attempt to gain more game time, the Blues allowed him to leave on loan and he joined Southampton, scoring on his first appearance in an 8-0 victory over Newport County.

There’s no doubt Broja has plenty of potential and he showed at Vitesse last season that he can produce on a regular basis, with 11 goals in 34 appearances.

Chelsea supporters have been reacting to his strike for Albania and some believe that he could become the next Diego Costa, whilst another suggested that he’s similar to Didier Drogba.

Here’s what some had to say.

@PhilipJamal: This kid is destined for the top. I sincerely hope it is at Chelsea.

@taykamau: Armando Broja is gonna be a big name one day in the football world. Might take a while but it’s inevitable. He’s inevitable.

@CesCardenasV: Fantastic finish. Drogba type of goal.

@BlueKD_: Don’t remember who said it but he’s the Diego Costa 2.0. He’s definitely built for it.

@utd_interest: Broja is gonna be something special for Chelsea.

@BashiruSuleman3: The world should not sleep on this boy. Chelsea have got another generational striker in their books. Be scared of that name @armandobroja9.

@AlijaArbin: Chelsea have got a real gem in there hands, Broja what a beast.

Broja’s only Blues appearance came in the 4-0 win over Everton in 2019/20 when he replaced Olivier Giroud but it’s likely that he’ll be making more in the future.

His spell at Saints, however, will surely give him some much-needed top-flight experience and the Slough-born man could next feature in their game against West Ham United.
