The England-based Belgian journalist initially spoke about Romelu Lukaku’s recent statement about his intention to stay at Inter Milan despite Chelsea’s interest.
Terreur believes the striker actually meant his words, although he also said that situations could easily change after the Euro 2020.
But Lukaku is not the only striker on Chelsea’s summer shortlist, he claimed, and the club has already made their moves behind the scenes for Haaland.
“I know that there have been talks [between Chelsea and] Haaland’s people before,” the journalist told The Football Terrace.
“Haaland’s [transfer saga] is a difficult one to predict too definitely since Dortmund qualify for the Champions League.
“You felt that they have an extra reason to keep him.”
Terreur also suggested that the Norway international seems to be Chelsea’s first-choice striker target this summer.
“[If I were Chelsea], I would wait for him,” he explained.
“Clubs sometimes go for second or third choice, I don’t understand that.
“They [Chelsea] could use a goalscorer, but is it really needed if you can’t get your first or second choice?”
