Arsenal are now ready to sign player with 'technical qualities' who 'dominates' the midfield area

Arsenal are ready and waiting with a £34m offer to bring in AC Milan midfielder, Ismael Bennacer, as Mikel Arteta looks for a new midfielder.

Despite having already signed Fabio Vieira this summer to bolster his midfield options, the Arsenal boss is thought to be on the lookout for even more players. And according to Calciomercato, Bennacer is one of the players the Gunners are paying a lot of attention towards.

CM claims that Arsenal could present a £34m bid to AC Milan to try and tempt them into selling Bennacer. The Algerian international played a key role for Milan last season as they pipped near rivals Inter to the Serie A title.

Seen as one of the top midfielders in Italy, Bennacer is no stranger to getting high praise. Indeed, former Inter star Giuseppe Bergomi previously lauded Bennacer for his dominant performances.

Bennacer dominates the match. Tonali too did some good things but he has to grow. Bennacer dominates in the middle on the pitch due to his personality and technical qualities. He finds his teammates in perfect positions,” Bergomi said of Bennacer in 2020.

Arsenal are thought to be willing to sell a number of players to fund another new signing,

TBR’s View: Bennacer Would Bring Class To The Arsenal Midfield

Bennacer would be a smart signing for Arsenal if they can manage to pull it off. They do need another midfield option of quality and he certainly has that in abundance.

The other key quality for Bennacer to bring is that winning mentality. Winning the title with Milan last year was massive for the club and city and Bennacer was a key part of that success.

That sort of mentality would help Arsenal, who are perhaps a few characters away from really challenging for honours under Mikel Arteta.
