Man United To Swoop For Chelsea Defender By Former Red Devil
Former Manchester United midfielder Luke Chadwick has suggested the Red Devils turn to a Chelsea first team player to sort out their defensive issues.
He insisted that new players were needed at the back to sort out United’s issues, and named Antonio Rudiger as the kind of option they should be pursuing.
It’s an interesting perspective – you won’t find many Blues fans who consider the Germany international a quick fix solution for any kind of defensive problem.
On the other hand, we’ve seen him produce big performances before, and maybe a fresh start playing alongside a quality player like Harry Maguire is just what Rudiger needs to get his form back.
If Chelsea really are trying to get rid of the former Roma man, they could do a lot worse than letting him play for United for a season to raise his value – although they will also be wary about strengthening a rival.
