There have been plenty of impressive young talents on the European stage this season.
Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham, Paris Saint-Germain’s Moise Kean, are a few examples.
Silva, however, seems to be most impressed by one of his opponents in the upcoming Champions League final.
“Well, I’ve played against him a few times already, especially this season,” the Brazil international told UEFA when asked to name this season’s best young player in the Champions League.
“And I’ll be facing him once again [in the final] — Phil Foden from Manchester City.”
Mason Mount was also asked to name one but redirected the question to Ben Chilwell instead.
The left-back initially responded — probably to tease Mount — by saying: “Probably Phil [Foden],” before naming Mount as the two showcased their bromance.
