Haaland drops transfer hint
Chelsea have been provided some hope in their attempts to prise Erling Haaland away from Borussia Dortmund this summer, with the striker not ruling out a move.
Haaland, 20, has been heavily linked to take up the striker’s role at the Stamford Bridge club next season, with a lack of goals one of the only weaknesses in the Blues’ Champions League winning side.
Christian Falk of Sport Bild asked the striker a direct question about his future and more importantly about the links to Chelsea.
Falk’s tweet read: “We asked Erling Haaland: Are you staying at Borussia Dortmund, Mr. Haaland?.
Keeping tight lipped can only be a good sign for Thomas Tuchel’s side as they look to strengthen the one area of the pitch that could potentially turn them into title challengers in the upcoming 2021/22 Premier League season.
Chelsea offer £85million for Chiesa
Chelsea have offered Juventus £85million for Euro 2020 star Federico Chiesa, according to German reports.
The Blues have inquired about Chiesa and are prepared to bid £85 million, per BILD journalist Christian Falk.
However, the Turin club aren’t keen to even entertain the idea of selling the Euro 2020 star this summer.
The winger is set to enter the second season of his two-year loan deal from Fiorentina, before the Old Lady have to pay the Florence based club a fee of around £43m.
Emerson blow as Napoli seek alternatives
Chelsea have suffered a transfer blow when it comes to outgoings, with Serie A side Napoli turning their attention away from left-back Emerson Palmieri.
The ex-Roma full-back has already been linked to a host of Italian clubs already this summer, with Napoli and Juventus seemingly leading the race.
However, the latest developments from Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia) have changed the landscape in who seems now to be more active in trying to bring the 26-year-old back to his homeland this summer.
Sky Sport Italia are saying that Napoli are turning towards Getafe left-back Mathias Olivera as a cheaper alternative to the Chelsea left-back.
This is despite new manager’s Luciano Spalletti’s specific request to bring in Emerson this summer, who impressed for Italy at UEFA Euro 2020 when taking over from injured Leonardo Spinazzola.
Although there is a will to get this deal done from both sides, the asking price from the Blues is well over €20m (£17m), considerably more than what Maurizio Sarri’s ex-club were prepared to offer in negotiations.
As a result, Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that the Naples based side are now instead turning towards a cheaper alternative in the form of Olivera.
