In terms of player availability, the German tactician has already revealed that Andreas Christensen will return to the squad after missing the last three games.
Furthermore, there’s hope that Kai Havertz and N’Golo Kante will be able to feature at Villa Park as Chelsea go in search of a win that will seal a top-three finish and Champions League football for next season.
“Andreas Christensen will be in the squad, he did full training today and also yesterday without any problems,” Tuchel confirmed in his pre-match press conference. “So he will be back.
Kai Havertz did a test today and will be testing in team training tomorrow.
“And with NG (Kante) it’s going to be very close, but still some hopes he maybe joins team training tomorrow.
But if not, then he will join on Monday.”
It remains to be seen if any of the trio will be involved at Villa Park, but one player who looks likely to start is central defender Thiago Silva.
That is if his social media activity is anything to go by as he hinted at starting a fourth successive game under Tuchel by hyping up the game on his Instagram stories.
And, as seen in the image above, now Jorginho has followed suit.
Also taking to Instagram, the midfielder has done his best to hype up the big game at Villa Park which could suggest he’s in line to start in the engine room.
Jorginho was on the scoresheet for the Blues against Leicester in midweek, netting from the penalty spot to bring up his seventh Premier League goal of the season.
A regular in the side since Tuchel’s appointment in January, it would be somewhat of a surprise if he’s not in the team lineup come 3pm.
Victory for the Blues will see them qualify for the Champions League regardless of what happens in next week’s final against Manchester City.
