The all-important team news has dropped at the Estadio do Dragao and here is who Thomas Tuchel has selected to start the Champions League final.
In comes Kai Havertz and N’Golo Kante from that defeat as Christian Pulisic and Mateo Kovacic drop to the bench.
N’Golo Kante starts in midfield having been passed fit on Friday night at open training. Edouard Mendy is also included from the start having recovered from a rib injury sustained in the defeat to Villa.
Tuchel keeps faith with his back five that started at Villa Park which comprises Reece James, Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger and Ben Chilwell. It l;ooks as though James has reverted to a right wing -back position, with Azpiliceuta moving into centre half.
Jorginho starts alongside Kante in the middle of the park and will be charged with directing traffic.
Up front is where the decisions have had to be made. Mason Mount is an automatic starter and Timo Werner is as well so it is no surprise to see the duo both line up in Porto.
Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz were all vying for the other place and the winner has been Havertz who gets the nod.
Tuchel said at his pre-match press conference on Monday that he would urge his players to seize the moment on what could be a historic night for the club.
“When you are nervous, you are nervous, you are not the only guy and maybe the coaches as well are a bit nervous. To be nervous you can use it to be on your best level.
“Pressure is sometimes a huge boost, sometimes it’s a big backpack to carry. Just admit it. Some words maybe will help, but in general let’s be who we are and we are a strong group and we have a genuine trust and belief in what we do and we are capable if we do things together.
“Tomorrow we will absolutely arrive together, everybody will be here to be a strong Chelsea group, to do the last step and win this cup.”
