Jude Bellingham put in a brilliant showing for England last night against Germany, likely securing his starting place in Gareth Southgate’s team at the World Cup and showing his unbelievable talent once again.
Inevitably, the moment the full time whistle went, all the talk was about where he might move, and today there have been plenty of follow up whispers about his future.
Ben Jacobs gave a run down of his options, and explained that Chelsea are by no means front runners.
Manchester United have work to do. Bellingham sees #UCL football as essential. Chelsea are also keeping tabs on Bellingham and would be prepared to structure a deal in very preferable manner for Dortmund. But like #MUFC, #CFC are not currently frontrunners.
Liverpool and Real Madrid seem to have invested the most time in convincing the midfielder that they are his best options.
But Jacobs does point out that Chelsea “would be prepared to structure a deal in a very preferable manner for Dortmund,” his current club.
Basically that means pay a huge amount of money for him, it would seem.
Persuading Dortmund is the easy part, however. It’s persuading Bellingham which is the challenge.
